you ever stop to think that eddie was taught that affection is an act of obligation, something his mom demanded because it didn’t come naturally to him with her and how its the same with myra, how she demands he calls her god knows how many times a day and that he kisses her goodbye, mostly when they’re in front of other people but cause it’s not something that comes naturally to them but she likes to show him off like it is and then he finally marries richie and his whole life turns upside down cause he is so affectionate and tender but he never demands eddie to do the same thing for him cause that’s just who he is, he never asks eddie to call him or kiss him or hold his hand but he does all of these things on his own. he calls in the middle of the day to see how eddie’s day is going and when they’re out he’s the one to take eddie’s hand in his and he kisses him when he does something richie finds cute and out of nowhere too because he just can’t contain the love he feels for him and eddie doesn’t have to say sorry for not calling or for forgetting to kiss him goodbye, richie never demands anything from eddie cause he’s happy to be with him in general and as long as eddie doesn’t mind him being like that everything is okay and every day eddie loses his mind a little bit cause richie is too fucking good for him? cause i think about that shit every day
