This is part of a series on how to work with angels if you’re demon-associated (or just generally skittish of angels). The introduction to that series is here. In the introduction you’ll find an explanation of why people such as demonolaters, demon-appreciators, demonkin, and the non-Abrahamic-religious are able to work with angels, and why they would want to. It also gives a basic explanation of why angels and demons aren’t always completely opposed, what I mean by the term “angels,” what angels do, and also what research sources I tend to use for these articles. So if you have questions, you should go read that article first before hitting my ask box.
First off: I have a list of suggested angels that I think people would be good to start with, but I realized that it’d be best to write how to invite them in before I described them… otherwise you’re gonna have some nice angel descriptions and no idea how to work with the angel. So, this comes first. The angel descriptions are going to be one article per angel - I tried to write brief summaries but there’s just too much to each one I want to talk about for me to keep it brief. And it’s safer for you if I talk more!
By the way, I clarified in the previous article what it can mean when people use the term “work with”, but I missed two important connotations: to appeal to for aid, or to have yourself or your life worked on by the entity. In the context of angels, I don’t think the “worship” connotation is appropriate since they don’t want to be worshipped so it’s disrespectful of both them and their Creator. I’ve clarified the original article to include these definitions and make it clearer what sort of “work” one could pursue with angels.
Just so we’re super-clear, though: the point of this article is to teach you how to meet an angel in a way that is safe for you and won’t make you feel threatened, and once you’ve met, to be able to understand each other and talk. Part 1 will tell you how to research the angel you want to contact, and part 2 will explain how to contact them. After you meet the angel, they’re going to be the one who tells you if they can help you because they will know whether they’ll be serving the purposes of their Creator by doing so. This isn’t about summoning angels to command them, and it’s not about worshipping them. I’m not the best person to teach you about either, to be honest.
To get the most out of this, you’re probably going to need to be able to communicate with spiritual entities in some rudimentary way. You may already be capable of this and you don’t know it. If you want to get better at it or find out some ways to percieve that you hadn’t considered, Tif wrote about that. If it helps, the main method I’m going to suggest in Part 2 is basically guided meditation/visualization, which tends to make it easier to ‘hear’ because you’re mentally in a place where you have more control over what’s possible. If you’re not at the point where you can communicate on your own, Part 1 of this article is going to be about suggested ways to research angels and feeling out which angel might best fit you, so you may still get some use out of it if you want to then try out different contact methods. There’s no one specific way you have to do any of this, and the most useful bits written in parts 1 and 2 are probably going to be the safety advice, tips on getting better information, and etiquette/hospitality tips.
